Should people have children over the age of 35?

I don't think that anyone should have children once they p the age of 35. After this age, both female and male fertility start to decline rapidly and the risk of birth defects goes up. Also, this isn't fair to the child to have to grow up with older parents. I mean, what kid wants to have geezer parents? As a parent, how would you feel if your body was just too old to play with your child? You wouldn't get to see them have grandchildren. All of this would be okay if our life spans were longer and our period of youth was longer, but our life expectancy is only between 70-80 years average. Should 35 be the absolute cut off? I think so. I'm not going to make this cut off so I am giving up on ever being a parent which is sad, but I blew it.
