DOES HE LIKE ME, OR AM I BEING SUCKY?

Okay, there is a boy that i am kinda interested in but im not sure if he feels the same way. On Friday i was sitting at a table and him and his friend came to talk to my friend and me for a second. And i told him i was going on the bus that day and he said he wasn't. Then his friend that i havent talked to a day in my life said " Why is it that when you get on the bus he doesn't get on the bus and when he does get on the bus you dont get on?" I thought that meant he talks about me to his friend when im not around. Every day he asks me to get on the bus and i say i cant. Now ive been looking for signs that show he likes me, but im worried im being paranoid and using this as an excuse to think he likes me. I have gotten on the bus before but he has never said anything about us. And if im not being paranoid how do i tell him i like him back with saying anything? Do i tell a friend to say something?
